European Solidarity Corps (ESC)
We host and send young people in European volunteering programs who want to contribute to social, cultural, and environmental projects.
"Volunteering is a unique personal and professional learning experience, where participants live in another country, collaborate with the local community, and discover other social and cultural realities. All expenses are covered, and no prior experience is required—only motivation and a desire to contribute.

Hosted volunteering
What do we do?
Intercultural Life is an organization that acts as a coordinating, supporting, and hosting entity for European Volunteering. In Trasmulas, Granada, we host a group of 2–5 individuals each year in individual volunteering programs, as well as an international team volunteering group that supports us in energizing the Vega of Granada. Volunteering in Trasmulas focuses on four main areas of action:
Promotion of non-formal education
1. Participation in non-formal education activities: linguistic support in youth exchanges and in the creation of graphic documents or promotional videos. 2. Support in secondary schools and primary schools: language animation in English, French, or German classes, as well as support in school gardens. 3. Creation of our own projects, such as local workshops for children, youth, or adults.
Project Management and Support for Associations
1. Administrative support: the volunteering team will have the opportunity to learn how international youth mobility projects with schools operate. 2. Documentation and dissemination of activities: content creation for social media and the website.
Raising environmental awareness and taking action
1. Agroecology and permaculture: support in local gardens. 2. Environmental education workshops and activities. 3. Cooperation with other local organizations in the Vega of Granada area. 4. Creation of signs such as informational posters about the local flora and fauna.
Revitalization of rural areas
1. Organization and facilitation of the “Medio pan y un libro” Library. 2. Local socio-cultural events. 3. Maintenance of La Choza de Trasmulas: support in maintaining the rural and ecological hostel and the La Choza Lifelong Learning Center.
Casa del voluntariado de i-life
Intercultural life ha recibido una ayuda de la Unión Europea con cargo al Fondo NextGenerationEU, en el marco del Plan de Recuperación, Trasformación y Resiliencia, para la instalación de placas fotovoltaicas dentro del programa de incentivos ligados al autoconsumo y almacenamiento, con fuentes de energía renovable, así como la implantación de sistemas térmicos renovables en el sector residencial del Ministerio para la Transición Ecológica y el Reto Demográfico, gestionado por la Junta de Andalucía, a través de la Agencia Andaluza de la Energía.
